~ The husband went out with his buddies last night and stumbled in at 3 am. While I was jealous to the max about him having a nightlife, I had a glorious night filled with sewing, sewing and more sewing. And butter pecan ice cream, all to myself. (That is something they don’t cover in those darn homecoming briefings – how to not get territorial over food when the human vacuum cleaner returns.)
~ Because the husband went out and had a fabulous time, he promised his full attention today to watch E while I finished up the diapers I’m working on for my store stocking this week. I earned myself some brownie points and let him sleep till 11, when I deposited the child on the bed. She was very, very happy to see her playmate. It was a wonderful wake-up call.
~ Our kitchen window is directly in front of an intersection. So, if we want to watch the world go by, the world gets to see us. And I would like to apologize for anything inappropriate the world may have seen so far. The shades don’t usually go down until after the husband gets smacked and yelled at, reminded that we aren’t alone.
~ The wildlife here is out to get me. In addition to the four gigantic geese that like to block our back gate when I need to get through it, the crows have picked a fight. I was innocently hanging diapers on the line, when I heard what sounded like a nut falling into the basket. Nope. Not a nut. Definitely not a nut. All over the clean diapers.
~ My oven is still broken and I’m going through baked goods withdrawal. My carb intake is way below what it should be . . . homemade bread, cookies, cake, casseroles . . . I’m starting to hate the crock pot.
~ I can’t believe I was afraid of the walking toddler. Now that she’s lurching all around like a drunken sailor, it’s the highlight of my day. Add in some dancing to Hendrix and Hokey Pokey, and you’ve got a riot on your hands!

I prefer to dry my toddlers with a towel, but I guess a dryer works. It's probably faster.
Gotta love the wildlife. I became quite a good aim with the .22 when groundhogs invaded my garden. I'm thinking you can't do that with geese though.
Damned birds. No respect!
And baked goods? Think I might have to make cupcakes later…
I have been craving baked good today. Unfortunately the toddler has drunk all the milk.
Maybe this months milk trial will be successful?
Also, walking is so much fun! Then there is the dancing and the wiggling and OMG the running. It is all just so cute.
