Not Like One of the Others

Posted By on June 25, 2008

E and I hit the soft play at the mall today. It was a learning experience for both of us.

She learned: Other kids aren’t all they’re cracked up the be, especially when they don’t fill you in on the soft play etiquette and push you off the slide stairs. Mom is a better playmate.

I learned: Other moms are ridiculously catty, and speculation on why my gigantic, ‘head taller than all the other kids’ child isn’t running around, leaping, climbing and solving mazes with the other two and three year olds is highly unappreciated. She’s only 14 months, bitches, so step off!

Ahem. So yeah. That was the soft play.

Dude. Ponytails. They make me all melty and stuff. WAY TOO CUTE!

And, yeah, lots of bitches to be found around any sort of play area. Lots.

  2. Coal Miner's Granddaughter says:

This is why I refuse to get involved with playgroups. The snarky moms are the problem. Ish. Glad you survived, though!
