I just want to say thank you to everybody who commented on that last post. Thank you for being there. Thank you for delurking just for that. Thank you for the virtual circle of warmth I felt.
I have so much to blog about – the massacre that occured in my garden, the $750 souvenier that came home from vacation with us, the monsoons flooding my backyard, the kid, the husband, and the ridiculously expensive gear stored in my house for a friend right now – but it’s like there’s an elephant in the room, and he’s so fat that it’s tough to squeeze by and reach the key board. So please grant me a pass for any sucky posts that may grace this site in the next while. I promise it won’t last too long.
Take as much time as you need, we will be here when you return.
Ditto, take your time – as much as I would like to hear about all of that intriguing stuff, it can wait.

I love reading your blog, but take as much time as you need. I can't imagine how you are feeling but I would like to express my sympathy. I hope your husband is pampering you and your mother is more than a phone call away. :)
Of course you are totally excused. Your mom on the other hand? Not so much.
I'm with Kate. You take all the time you need to get rid of the elephant. And if you need me to kick the ass? I can do that.
