At Least We Aren’t Getting a Hurricane

Sing it with me now! C-R-A-P-P-Y, CRAPPY!
Yes, it’s been a crap-tacular day around here. Or, series of days. Whatever.
Itty Bitty Car was officially totaled. We thought we could take the settlement, buy it back at salvage and retitle it. Easy peasy and we win, right? Nope. Because some dumbass lawmaker made a dumbass law about it, we cannot retitle the car unless we completely replace the ENTIRE panel that has the dent in it. A freaking DENT. Purely a cosmetic issue, not a bit related to safety of the vehicle, and BY LAW it has to be replaced. It will not pass the inspection for a new title without it, and without proof that it was done by a certified repair shop. Which will cost the entire amount of the settlement. Or more. For a dent.
That’s all I’ve been thinking about all day. It’s just a dent. How can it be legal to require a cosmetic issue be fixed on OUR OWN CAR.
So, Itty Bitty Car is going away. Away so it can be sold at auction and some else can salvage it and profit from it. Bastards.
In addition to that lovely ordeal, both the husband’s phone and mine are refusing to charge like good little phones. We spend more time playing musical batteries and choosing what call is more important to make for the day, just in case they die. Fittingly, we drove all the way in to Savannah to pick up two new phones, and can’t get the deal in the store. So, either we pay way more than we thought, or we play musical batteries for a while longer.
And THEN, in addition to that, I’ve felt like absolute ick for the past three days. Either I want to crawl in bed, or I want to puke. Unfortunately, the first one can’t happen whenever I want, and thankfully, the second hasn’t yet. That’s a bit of a plus.
If anyone needs me, I’ll be that lump under the comforter.

Ugh. I hope things are looking up soon.
Wow, that stinks! All of it. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Bummer. I just got rid of a phone that was doing the same thing.
Hope you feel better and kick the blues.
I'm so very sorry about your sweet car. And your stupid phones. Hope it all gets better.
