iHeartFaces: Week Three – Joy

E’s favorite obsession lately is our horse, KC. “Seee! Seeeee!” she calls consistently throughout the day, running to the window to look out at him in the pasture. Whenever someone puts on their barn coat, she clings desperately to them, begging to go out too.
Today we had the joy of digging out from 12+ inches of snow. When it was time to put KC in for the day, E was asked if she wanted to come outside. Boots and hats and mittens could barely make it on fast enough for her, as she was bolting out the door.
The joy she has each time she sees that horse is enough to make each one of us grumpy grown-ups smile. And today I manage to catch just a tiny bit of that joy as she was running down the path towards the barn.
She has such a beautiful smile!
