The Floof Killed The Bangs

Posted By on February 28, 2009

The floof is back.

Our curly-haired offspring, who looks nothing like the husband or I, lost all of her puff and poof when we moved up here to Ohio. Apparently, it being dryer than a desert inside the house will suck any curl away and leave you with a straight, static-y mess.

Each time the snow melts, however, we get a glorious taste of humidity. Or, at least a tiny bit of moisture back in the air for a few hours. And, we get the poof back.

If I could figure out how to tame it, I would be so jealous of the kid’s fluffy head of hair. On those days, you can’t even tell she has bangs, really. (Or so I keep telling myself).

Our daughters have the exact same hair. Beautiful curls when it is humid – like any day in the summer here. And almost stick straight during the cold winter days. I love the curls best. So sweet. She is a beauty.
