iHeartFaces: Nostalgia

Posted By on August 26, 2009

This week’s theme at iHeartfaces is Nostalgia. So, here’s a little nostalgic rambling for ya . . .

When we first moved into this house, I was 5. Summer after summer was spent exploring the pastures and woods. One of the most prized sections of the pasture was the ‘brambles’. Every year, great care was taken to make sure the blackberry bushes survived the brush hog. Nothing has changed. I would spend hours with purple stained hands and scratched up arms, toting buckets of juicy goodness. Now Miss E gingerly picks her way through the prickers and pulls only the biggest ones. She’ll march back to the house, proudly clutching and smushing her bounty.

Head on over and check out the rest of this week’s entries!

I totally think this picture could win some sort of "I Love the USA" contest!

1st off adorable picture! Really it should win for just being adorable, but the photo effects made me instantly think back to looking at Gramma's photo albums. The rounded corners I think is it!

Seriously the most patriotic picture EVAH!

Our family went blackberry picking every year. I think I was the only one who never got poison ivy. :) This is a definite fond memory for me!
