iHeartFaces: Texture

Posted By on January 26, 2010

When a simple quest for a self portrait goes horribly wrong . . . and then turns out just perfect (with a lot of help – thank you Florabella for saving my new favorite photo!).

I just started following Beyond Snapshots and there’s a lovely meet & greet kind of contest going on this week to draw everyone out from behind their cameras. Hence, the rare Jayna sighting.

This being Textures week at I Heart Faces, I thought this would fit wonderfully. I’m having so much fun learning to use textures and transforming what I normally would have tossed off as a boring shot. Head on over there to check out all the other inspiring uses of texture.

Love the texture and love the picture. Did you set up the camera on a tripod or get the husband/mom to get the photo? I have so few pictures of me and Mel because, well, I am always the one holding the camera.

@ Kristen ~ it was propped up on a windowsill. I can never get someone else to take a picture with me in it!
