It’s Only Cute When You’re Little (30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 28)

E is learning to spell, broadening her horizons beyond the five letters of her name.

Yesterday she learned S-N-O-W, complete with hand motions for each letter.

When we spell out words, such as S-W-I-M, she jumps into the conversation and asks when we’re going to the pool.

I wasn’t prepared for this whole “growing up” thing.

At least she still says “Cinder-weh-wah” and “muse-get” and “traf-kick” and all those other words I need to write down.

The lingering toddler-ese softens the blow.

Makes me thankful we get another go-round of this age with MJ, as we enjoy all the new tricks E learns.

  1. When mine start reading on their own, that’s when I’ll be sad. No more “Mama! Read me this!” :(

  2. I remember the first time we realized that Giggles could spell, we were discussing what we were going to do after dinner and she said “I would really like to go to the P-A-R-K”
