As the perfect follow-up to yesterday’s ‘woe is me’ rantings, today’s You Capture theme is Happy.

Just that. Happy. What makes me happy? You happy? Everyone else happy?

For me, there’s that new lens that I’m finally getting around to playing with and each time I do, it makes me love it just a little bit more. That makes me happy, and thus the gift-giving-challenged husband happy.

This sweet face is there to wake up to each and every morning (and many, many times in between). Watching those little eyelashes flutter, as she inches more and more on to my pillow, brightens a dreary morning – even if just for a few moments.

I have a business booming faster than I can keep up with, allowing me to wallow in yards upon yards of gloriously soft fabric. I get to create amazing colors and patterns and send them off to make other people happy. Happy and warm. (The awesome sunlight in the girls’ room is pretty sweet as well. In fact, that entire room makes me happy. When it’s clean, at least.)

Then today, there was a fresh blanket of snow just begging to be played in. It was the perfect snow, slippery and ready for sleds. And, really, nothing makes this three year old happier than a good sled ride. And, when she’s happy, I’m happy. Even if it means I have to drag her up the hill sixteen times in a row.
