Hello (and goodbye) Due Date

On Sunday, my dad came into town to help us out for a while.
Which basically means, he’s here to sit around, bored to tears and driven to exhaustion from two cranked up grandkids, waiting with the rest of us until it’s time to assist the husband in wrestling me into the car to go to the hospital.
I’m being especially pessimistic, choosing to believe it will be at least another week, if not more, so everyone else may as well just go on about their business.
I mean, I still have things on my to-do list that aren’t done. And, obviously, babies won’t come until everything is ready. Right? Right.
Despite that line of thought, I still held out just a tiny bit of hope that I wouldn’t go over . . . mostly so I wouldn’t have to dealt with panic from the medical professionals I get to see weekly. Instead, I’ve got a lovely NST scheduled for tomorrow, and an outline of just how far they’ll “let” me go.
On the way home from today’s appointment, I turned to the husband and mentioned something about cupcakes. Moments later, we were parked on a side street as he ran a few blocks up the pedestrian street to the cupcake shop. Not just any shop, this one boasts a lemon drop cupcake that apparently have sent over 75 locals into labor in the past year or so. And, while I do believe that is a complete bull-crazy illusory correlation, those two that I had this evening were delicious. Really, who am I to deny cupcakes in a situation such as this?
It’s 11:50 at night now and I am pretty sure we can kiss the due date goodbye.
Here’s to a little while longer of wearing the last two outfits that fit, over and over again . . .
And here’s to everyone that has managed to survive the gigantic wave of bitchiness that seems to come with the current territory . . .

The crappiest things about going over is the hundred of millions of phone calls and having to repeat yourself over and over again..lol. Those cupcakes look amazing. Were they just as good or only pretty??
